Part of the Bicentennial Bikeway, this section runs past the Parliament House and QUT buildings towards gardens Point. This shot looking up stream towards North Quay.

The jetty through the mangroves is for the QUT CityCat stop. The mangroves in this area have been quite dense over the years but recent floods have knocked them about significantly.

It seems every couple of months high tides and a heavy flow in the river see this part of the path closed with water up and into the car-parks. On a hot day it can get a real mangrove smell but I use it as one of my main walks two to three times a week.
