I always know that once the lanterns start making their appearance in the South Bank arbour, that Buddha's Birthday can't be too far away.

Mangrove honeycomb frame

Among the joys of going to farmers markets for your staples, is that of finding stuff you just won't find in a supermarket.

This is a frame of honeycomb from hives placed in the mangroves. According to the apiarist from Miss Bee Haven Apiaries, he runs these down in northern New South Wales.

Stronger than most honeys you buy over the counter, the market goer is doubly blessed by being able to taste varieties before buying.

Cloud formation

I suppose it is the weather nerd in me coming out, but cloud formations always fascinate me.

I snapped this from my balcony, a formation which went from a solid square line to clear blue sky as if it had been done by a ruler.

Have been working with some mainly iPhone users over the last couple of weeks. 

One issue was getting different sizes for images added to a project – don't know what the more recent iPhones do but the ones I was working with had a small, medium, large resolution.

I was interested my Galaxy S2 was somewhat better, although a custom size would be nice.

At the end of the day we decided to shoot large, and use an image resize app for the project which should give us the best of both worlds, a good size image that could be cropped and resized for the project.
